One has to wonder....

One has to wonder why our FedGov is allowing massive, virtually unchecked, illegal immigration across our southern border.  Current estimates put the number of illegals living in the United States as somewhere between 10 and 30 million.  They have no idea how many there are.  What makes it even more amazing is that we know that many of those crossing the border are involved in the drug trade and that many are already or will become criminals here in this country.  Crossing the border illegally is, well, illegal.

The FedGov is violating the law by not enforcing the long standing immigration laws of this country.  The FedGov has filed lawsuits against states that attempt to enforce current immigration laws.

Why is this happening?  What is the reason for allowing the law to be broken with only token efforts in place to enforce it?  Why was the recently enacted Arizona law against illegal immigration ruled unconstitutional and shut down?

The law in Arizona was ruled unconstitutional because it would have required local law enforcement to check the immigration status of individuals who were under police investigation for other illegal activity such as traffic violations and minor crimes if there was any suspicion that those people may be illegal.   It has been assumed that the Police would "profile" people who fit a certain description.  That would be a violation of their 4th Amendment rights.  Whoa!  Back up a minute.  I was under the impression that The Constitution was for the protection of American citizens?  (Illegals and foreigners apparently have constitutional rights beyond their consular rights.)  The response to that is that the Police would, through "profiling", question citizens who might "look" like illegals but who were, in fact, here legally.  It would be an inconvenience and a violation of their 4th Amendment rights.  Can't do it.  Apparently the FedGov doesn't trust the local police forces to do their job correctly.

The inconvenience and humiliation of submitting to being searched at a TSA checkpoint at an airport or railway station or out on the street without probable cause or "reasonable suspicion" does not violate your 4th Amendment rights.  Warrantless searches in Indiana, and I'm sure other places, do not violate your 4th Amendment rights as long as the officer believes that you may be destroying evidence.  Asking to prove that you are in this country legally does violate your rights.  I don't get it.  Too weird.

You cannot be required to show identification at the polls when you go to vote.  Where is the logic in that?  Apparently requiring I.D. would prevent someone who is not qualified to vote from voting?

I'd be interested in hearing some opinions from the folks who stop by this blog regarding why we allow this illegal immigration to continue.  It appears we are actually promoting it.

On another subject....

The best (Read: worst) piece of news I read today regards DHS stating that Middle Class Whites are the most likely terrorists and should be watched.  Here's the link.  Is anyone concerned?

Stay safe.

Blue my original thoughts was Dems wanted more voters.Hey we let you in vote for us!

Now I don't know? I try real hard not to be racist. But some(most) of this crap is over the top.

I've stated many times about my Laotian friends, there family came here the hard way. There father fled Laos after America bailed on Vietnamese her Dad helped guide American special forces troops. When we left North Vietnamese came looking he fled to Philipines there Mom swam across Mekong nite before gunboat shut up a family trying to escape. They spent a lot of time and money to be legal Americans. So why is it Liberals say no one can come We need to make it easier. Her family feels it is a slap in the face! Something Big in my opinion not sure what.We are being treated as second class citizens in our own country! Personally I have had enough!! Profiling works. How many white grandma's or 6yr old white kids have committed acts of Terrorism? How many Hadji's? Once Hadgi stops blowing shit up we stop profiling. Sorry for rambling but this stuff is insane.Political correctness is outta control!

Absolutely, same experience here with the many Vietnamese who left with me in April '75 and the many who have come here legally since then. It takes us 11/12 years to bring a relative from Vietnam legally while the Mexicans walk across the border and receive welfare and everything else, while I have to guarantee my in-laws will not get any form of public assistance for 10 years after they come here. Oh, yeah we are getting more pissed everyday with the Collectivists who run our country Dems and Repubs. They want the Mexicans here because they will vote Democratic, but Vietnamese/Laotians/Cambodians don't for the most part, as they were brought up like we were.

China, Brock.... I am a firm believer in LEGAL immigration. It pisses me off even more when I think that so many other immigrants are willing to play by the rules, jump through all the hoops, and do it right because they WANT to be AMERICANS.

I think that the illegal immigration is being allowed in order to stir up racial tensions and perhaps finally incite something bad to distract Americans from the bigger issues of a corrupt regime.

Or, perhaps, it will give the "chosen one" his army of thugs to control the American population once the wheels are set in motion....?

Blue - they vote (illegally - hence the opposition to voter ID) Democratic. End of story (IMO)

Profiling is just Newspeak for prudence or discernment.

Isn't it interesting that we have the will to protect the border between North and South Korea but not our own Southern border?

Adrienne.... I ask myself every day how we got into this mess. It still astounds me.

Jim.... That is an interesting point. I never thought of that.
