The family is fine....

I was at the store yesterday, and I ran into Tarzan! I asked him how it was going and if he was into making any more movies. He told me that he could no longer make any more movies as he had severe arthritis in both shoulders and could no longer swing from vine to tree.

I asked how Jane was doing, he told me she was in bad shape, in a nursing home, has Alzheimer's and no longer recognizes anyone.. How sad.

I asked about Boy, and he told me that Boy had gone to the big city, got hooked up with bad women, drugs, alcohol, and the only times he heard from him was when he was in trouble or needed something.

I asked about Cheeta, he beamed and said she was doing good. She married a lawyer, had gotten some plastic surgery, and now lived in the White House!!!

I know, I know, something bad is going to happen to me!!!!!   :)

Stay safe.

Oh no, the collectivist dealt his trump card: "Racist!" Whatever shall we do? Blue you'll have to get on your hands and knees and beg for forgiveness and at the same time corral all those guns to stop their "gun violence!"

Baldr.... What was racist about that?

I do believe that you are jumping to conclusions. Read it again and then tell me why I'm a racist. It appears to me that you may have reading comprehension problems.

It happens.

Have a great evening! :)

Brock.... I doubt I'll be getting on hands and knees and begging forgiveness :)

It's been awhile since I checked out Baldr's blog but, of course, I looked tonight. Nothing has changed.

I know a lot of people from a lot of different walks of life. I'd relish watching someone asking them if I'm a racist. Or better yet, accusing me of being a racist. I'd love to hear their answers. You wouldn't get a single affirmative response :)

Ahhh well. Jumping to conclusions, especially about someone you know nothing about, sometimes makes the "jumper" look foolish.

Smart folks learn from their mistakes. Dumb ones don't

Baldr, buddy....

Please read the following. Read it as many times as necessary.

"I asked about Cheeta, he beamed and said she was doing good. She married a lawyer, had gotten some plastic surgery, and now lived in the White House!!!"

Where does the above statement make any mention of Cheeta being "the First Lady, an African-American woman"? (your words) I'll answer for you, if you'd like. It doesn't say it anywhere. It exists only in your mind.

You are making assumptions and jumping to conclusions and putting the words that you choose where there are none to justify your accusation.

In similar fashion you are looking for racists where there are none.

You are either the racist yourself or you are just looking for someone to hang the label on.

That's what Liberals do.

You are making the assumption that this is a racist joke. You believe that it says something that it doesn't. You believe that because it's what you want to believe.

You cannot possibly know my thoughts nor my intentions. No matter how much you believe you can, you can't.

Sometimes it's best to just admit that you made a mistake then apologize and move on.

I don't hold grudges. :)

Uh huh. So the fact that Michelle Obama married a lawyer (who became president) and now lives in the White House doesn't seem a tad bit similar to Cheeta in your "joke"?

Having grown up in Arkansas, where racism is ingrained, I know it when I hear it. Dig as you might, there's no escaping your "monkey" reference to this very honorable and admirable African-American woman. And given that my own family is integrated, your apology is awaited.

Hmm, wondering if that joke fits anyone else.

As the wife of the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, she was the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. In the 2008 election, Clinton was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

A native of Illinois, Hillary Rodham first attracted national attention in 1969 for her remarks as the first student commencement speaker at Wellesley College. She embarked on a career in law after graduating from Yale Law School in 1973. Following a stint as a Congressional legal counsel, she moved to Arkansas in 1974 and married Bill Clinton in 1975.

Maybe Baldr needs to check his conscious for seeds of racism

If I was a chimpanzee, I’d be pissed off at being compared to Michelle, too. How terrible to trample on Cheeta’s grave.
